Sandusky--Vera May Cornwell, 77, of 35 South Jackson Street, died Tuesday, March 15, 1988, in McKenzie Memorial Hospital, Sandusky.

She was born May 8, 1910 in Sanilac County. She married Edward John Sopha December 10, 1925 in Sandusky. He passed away Feb 11, 1972. She then married Floyd R. Cornwell, September 16, 1972 in Sandusky. He passed away March 29, 1974.

She was a member of the Watertown Missionary Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Anna May Simmons, Sandusky; one son, Leroy Sopha, Sandusky; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Orval Brown, Gladwin, Charles Brown, East Detroit, and Floyd Brown, West Branch; and two sisters, Mrs. James (Grace) Duffy, Roseville and Mrs. Fred (Diantha) Demrow, Rose City.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Larry Simmons in 1968, one brother, Ed Brown, and one sister, Ada Maddick.

Services were held Friday in the Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky. Rev. Wilbur Ricketts, Deford, officiated.

Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Sandusky.
