Herbert Samuel Lindsey, 92, of Martinsville died at 1:45 p.m., Saturday, in St. Louis Lutheran Hospital where he had been a patient since suffering a stroke about two weeks ago.

Mr. Lindsey was born March 13, 1881 in Clark County to Zachary Taylor Lindsey and Caroline Blankenbaker Lindsey. On December 28, 1902, he married Priscilla Fix who preceded him in death May 17, 1956. He was a member of the St. Paul Church.

Survivors include a son, Raymond, of Laporte, Indiana; daughters, Mrs. Eunice Hamilton, Martinsville and Caroline Montgomery, St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Leona Businger, Mart Center, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the Greenwell Funeral Home with Rev. George Nika officiating. Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
