Elizabeth Jane Waddle Goertemiller, Carmel, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2009. Born on November 13, 1928 in Conneaut, OH to the late Thomas and Elizabeth Glisson Waddle, Elizabeth lived a vibrant and highly active life with her three children and husband of 58 years.

A Carmel resident for 35 years, Elizabeth also enjoyed her winter homes in Galveston Island, TX and Sanibel, FL. Elizabeth began her professional career after receiving her BS from The Ohio State University and her masters degree from Wright State University. She taught secondary education in Kettering, OH and at Arsenal Technical and Broad Ripple High Schools in Indianapolis. She remained an active alumna member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and the OSU President's Club.

Survivors include her husband, Dick Goertemiller; children, Dru Doyle, Lyn (Jay) Daugherty and Kurt (Lisa) Goertemiller; two grandchildren, Evan and Elizabeth Daugherty; brothers, Thomas (Sally) Waddle, Allen (MaryAnn) Waddle and Gerald (Pam) Waddle; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services were entrusted to Leppert Mortuary of Indianapolis, Indiana.
