Lawyer; trustee, Crippled Children's Hospital; counsel, American Hospital Association; U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama, 1961-73; took senior status 1973. Member, Pi Kappa Alpha; American Bar Association; Elks; Blue Key; Civitan. Died in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Ala., November 30, 1991.
