Nathanil Gladfelter died at his home, two miles north of town, at 1 this afternoon of pneumonia, after a short sickness. He was 79 years old and came to Lyon county two years ago from Illinois. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

THE GLADFELTER FUNERAL TOMORROW
The funeral of Nathaniel Gladfelter, who died of pneumonia yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at his home, two miles north of Emporia, will be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock, in St. Paul's Reformed Church, of which Mr. Gladfelter was a member. The services will be conducted by the Rev. T. F. Stauffer, pastor of the church. Interment will e in Maplewood Cemetery, and the pall-bearers will be John Scheel, Thomas Marks, Charles Magathan, David Spiker, J. S. Bowers and P. J. Pyle.
Mr. Gladfelter was born January 8, 1848, at Seven Valleys, York County, Pennsylvania. He came to Kansas two years ago from Illinois and settled on a farm, two miles north of Emporia, where he had since lived. He was married to Miss Leah Good at Canal Winchester, Ohio, January 15, 1873. Besides Mrs. Gladfelter, five children survive him. They are W. A. Gladfelter, Emporia; J. C. Gladfetler, Emporia; Mrs. Carl Yost, Emporia; Mrs. O. L. Mote, Spiceland, Ind.; Mrs. William Runkel, Shelbyville, Ill. He is also survived by six sisters and five brothers, all of whom live in Pennsylvania, and four grandchildren. Mr. Gladfelter was first confirmed in the Lutheran Church and later joined the Reformed Church.
