James Robert "Bob" Miller ,69, of Lowell, died Monday, June 3, 2013. He was born May 19, 1944 in Hinton, WV to James Lewis and Edrie Davis Ferguson Miller.

Being a member of the Ironworkers Union, Bob had worked for American Bridge, John F. Beasley Co., Reliance Truck Co., and retired from Pioneer Pipe. Throughout his career, he was proud that no one ever got hurt under his watch.

He was an active member of the Marietta Boat Club.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Mary Hall (Pat) of Lowell, son, Bryan Miller (Maryann) of Elsaway, GA, two grandsons, Jacob and Garrett Hall, granddaughter, Elayne Miller, brother, Jim Miller (Myrna) , of Marietta, sister, Sandra Miller, of Ocala, FL, several nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, Fargo. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Miller.

Funeral services will be held at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013, with the Rev. Timothy Shannon officiating.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in Highland Ridge Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Strecker Cancer Center or Fort Frye Athletic Boosters.
