Rosemary Ann Kelsch, 71, of Lake Leelanau, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Rosemary was born April 12, 1941, in Suttons Bay, the daughter of Raymond Edward Beuerle and Amelia Elizabeth (Kiessel) Beuerle. On June 20, 1964, at St. Michael's Parish in Suttons Bay, she married her loving husband of 48 years, John Kelsch, who survives.

Rosemary graduated from the University of Michigan and became a Registered Nurse.

She taught nursing at Mott Community College in Flint for 22 years.

She was energetic, loyal and above all, devoted to her family. Rosemary volunteered for many events at St. Mary's. Most of all, she treasured her family and loved being a grandmother who adored her grandchildren.

Rosemary is survived by her husband, John; her four sons, Geoff (Jennifer) Kelsch, Kevin (Dawn) Kelsch, Tom (Lynette) Kelsch and Sean (Jenelle) Kelsch; three siblings, Jim (Ann) Beuerle, Joan Warden and Don (Brenda) Beuerle; and eight grandchildren, Jessica, Kayla, Felicity, Kelly, Troy, Brady, Maddie and Anna.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 11, from 3 to 7 p.m., with a rosary recitation to be held at 7 p.m., at the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay. The Mass will be held Friday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the Mass, at St. Mary's Church of Lake Leelanau. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in Suttons Bay.
