Inman, SC - Nannie Cothran Collins died at 12:30 a. m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 1949 at her residence in the Holly Springs Section, Inman, SC Route #3, following an illness of 17 months duration. She was the wife of Samuel Egbert Collins and a lifelong resident of Spartanburg County, SC. She was the daughter of William Ludie and Onie Foster Cothran. Survivors included: her husband, seven daughters, Mrs. John J. Hammett, Mrs. Edwin McMurry, Mrs. Eugene Stephens, Mrs. Oma C. Morrow, Mrs. W. B. Merril, Mrs. Perry S. Lewis and Mrs. Robert Walker; three sons, W. B., Roy E., Sr., and Ludie Collins; two sister, Mrs. W. E. Waters and Mrs. Bramlette Moore. Funeral services were held at Holly Springs Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 1949 with interment in the Church Cemetery. She was 74 years of age at her demise.
