Services for Lorine Cude Pagitt Jenkins, age 89 of Palestine will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Rev. Jordan Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mrs. Jenkins died Wednesday at Palestine Regional Medical Center. She was born December 12, 1923 in Palestine to Walton and Lula Toalson Cude. Mrs. Jenkins attended Palestine schools and graduated from Palestine High School in 1941. She was a lifelong resident of Palestine. She had many talents and hobbies. She was a sketch artist and she made beautiful Christmas ball ornaments. Mrs. Jenkins was a florist for Stewart Flower Shop for 26 years. Lorine loved nothing more than her family and church. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church where she sang in the choir. Her mother was also a lifelong member before her passing in 1992. Her many loves included going to the ocean searching for sand dollars, and fishing.

Lorine married her childhood sweetheart Hubert Wilson Pagitt in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1976. She later married Homer A. Jenkins and he preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her loving mother and father and a sister Mabel Cude Castagno (#88303).

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Pagitt Blassingame of Allen, Mary Pagitt Timmons of Palestine, and a son Walton Pagitt of Palestine, five grandchildren, Richard Blassingame, of Allen, Beth Harwell and husband Greg of Colleyville, Melinda Harris and husband Wayne of Nacogdoches, Karon Langston of Grapeland, and Scot Kiser and wife Nickie of Palestine, twelve great grandchildren, Jonas Hampshire of Porter, Hayley Paul of Elkhart, Jordan Hampshire of Porter, Zackary Kiser-Smith of Weatherford, Victoria "Tori" Hobson of Denson Springs, Christopher Brown of Grapeland, Mallory Harwell of Colleyville, Kealey Kiser of Hallsville, Mason Harwell of Colleyville, Kyla Kiser of Palestine, Mitchell Blassingame and Tyler Blassingame both of Allen, six great great grandchildren, Harlee, William, Gunner, Pailyn, Mackenzie and Gage. She is also survived by her brother Walton Cude and wife Mary Catherine of Ft. Worth.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Richard Blassingame, Jonas Hampshire, Jordan Hampshire, Greg Harwell, Wayne Harris, Matt Paul, as well as close family friend Danny Sieck. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Andrews and Steve Miller. Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
