ADLER, Marian Donnis, 89, of Longmont, died September 28, 2010 in Longmont.

Marian was born April 1, 1921 in Longmont, Colorado to James and Florence (Edwards) Gwin. She attended school in Longmont and graduated from Longmont High School with the class of 1939. On June 7, 1941 she married Floyd Adler in Loveland, CO.

The Adler's made their home in Longmont where they owned and operated Adler Land and Cattle and the Adler Family Farms. Marian was not only a homemaker for her large family but also the bookkeeper for the farms. She was also an active member in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church where Floyd and Marian had renewed their marriage vows on their 50th Anniversary.

Surviving Marian are her husband of Longmont; her 4 sons; her daughter, and her daughter-in-law. She is further survived by her brother and 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Preceded her in death are her parents, her son James, her daughter Barbara Kuhn, her brothers Roy, Donald, Keith, Bob and Ralph Gwin and her sisters Peg Stratton and Kate Gwin. She was also preceded by her great grandson Jacob Adler Balman.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 30 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at the Howe Mortuary, Longmont.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor Kirsten Sauey officiating. Burial will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
