Lukas went to live his eternal life with Jesus on August 21, 2017. Luke was born on September 21,1994 in Boulder, Colorado.

He is the son of Jason Patrick Alps and Denyne (Dini) Lucille Alps. He is the father of Bristol Bailey Alps-Glassburn and the oldest of three children- his sister Sydney Lucille Alps and his brother Mark Samuel Alps. Lukas was baptized on July 4, 2010 at Rocky Mountain Christian Church.

He attended Mead schools for most of his academic career but graduated from Frederick High School in 2013. The classes he took at the CDC were by far his favorite. Luke worked many different jobs touching many different lives along the way. He enjoyed fast cars, back roads, hunting, camping, ranching and anything outdoors and adventurous, but his family and friends were at the top of his list. His name means "Light" and he shined through and through. Anyone privileged to know Luke would have experienced his devoted love and tender heart. He didn't just hug, he had to give a big squeeze to make sure that his love would last forever.

A memorial service will be held at New Creation Church Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:30am. There will be a reception held at the church immediate following the service. After the reception there will be a graveside at Foothills Gardens of Memory. The following day, September 10th, there will be a lantern ceremony at 6:30pm at Mead Ponds. Arrangements entrusted to Carroll-Lewellen Funeral & Cremation Services.

II Corinthians 4:17-18
17 For our light and momentary troubles are
achieving for us an eternal glory that far
outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not
on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For
what is seen is temporary but, what is unseen
is eternal.
