Earle R. Bond, died Saturday, June 7, 1986 at Longmont United Hospital. He was 68. Born May 2, 1920 at Brockway, Mont. He was the son of Rex and Irene (Oldfield) Bond. He graduated from Kearney High school in Kearney, Neb in 1939. Two years later, on Aug 14, 1941 Mr. Bond married Phyllis E. Lynch at Wichita, Kan.
During WWII Mr. Bond served in the in the US Navy aboard an aircraft carrier.
After his discharge, Mr. Bond worked in Galesburg, Ill.. as a steel worker in heavy construction until 1965. That year, the family moved to from Illinois to Longmont.
In 1966, he began work at the Rocky Flats Nuclear Plant. Employed as a planning analysts, Mr. Bond remained there for 18 years, retiring in May, 1984.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is survived by his wife of Longmont, three sons, Preston R, Parachute, John S and Max W both of Longmont. A daughter Linda S, two brothers his twin Merle and Herbert, both of Kearney, Neb; a sister Ila Fay, North Platte, Neb; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, at Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. G. Haas and O. Baer of Seventh Day Adventist officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Llewellyn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Contributions may be made in Mr. Bonds memory to Boulder County Hospice, or the Missionary Friend of Seventh Day Adventist Church.
