David William Coppock, 36, native of Salt Lake City and an Alamosa, Colorado businessman, died of a heart attack Wednesday night at Santa Ana, California while visiting his mother according to word received here Saturday by relatives.

He was born Dec 10, 1913, son of Earl Layne and Helen Greeson Coppock. He attended East High School and University of Utah and later the University of California at Los Angeles.

In 1935 he moved to Blackfoot, Idaho, where he was associated with his father in the automobile business. He married Betty Isabelle Pitchfork Oct 30, 1937 in Salt Lake City. They moved to Craig, Colorado in 1941. He had been engaged in livestock and automobile businesses in Alamosa, where they had lived since 1949.

Surviving are his widow and three children, David William Jr, Susan and Betty Coppock; his mother, Mrs. Earl Coppock, Santa Anna, California; a brother, Earl L Coppock, Detroit, Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia C. Otto, Twin Falls, Idaho and Mrs. Patricia C. Mixon, Santa Ana, California and a grandmother, Mrs. Laura Greeson, Anaheim, California.
