Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 7, 2009 at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Enterprise City Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Childers was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Childers.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Jean Stout (Bobby), Dothan, AL; three sons and two daughters-in-law, James Miley Simmons, Jr. (Linda) Bellwood, AL; Gary Jack Simmons, Clayahtchee, AL; Tommy Joe Simmons (Lisa) Enterprise, AL; a sister, Doris Turner, Abbeville, AL; three brothers, Lewis Skinner (JoAnn) Enterprise, AL; James Skinner, Elba, AL; Leslie Skinner (Joyce) Hartford, AL; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
