Marshall "Mike" Chase of Enterprise, AL passed away, Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at UAB Hospital. He was 78.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 24, 2010 at St. John Catholic Church with Father Gregory Okorobia officiating. Burial will follow in Enterprise City Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 P.M., Sunday, May 23, 2010. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. John Catholic Church, 123 Heath Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.
Mr. Chase served his country for 32 years in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War and Laos conflict.
Mr. Chase was preceded in death by his father, Bamford Rogers and his mother and step-father, Sylvia and Ormond Chase.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Chase, Enterprise; one daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Robert Jones, Enterprise; three grandchildren, Robert E. Jones, Jr., Tuscaloosa; Emily Jones, Gainesville, FL; Amber McCollister (Adam) Gainesville, FL; two sisters, Carol Kern (Sonny) Wilton, CT; Susan Rogers, New York City; several nieces and nephews.
