Elizabeth Jane Burris died apparently at home on Nightingale Street in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia at the age of 78 due to senility, exhaustion and heart failure.

Elizabeth Jane Burris was the daughter of Osmond Heath, a farm labourer and Elizabeth his wife.

Elizabeth was married about 1864 in London, England, at the age of 27 to Osmond Burris and they were the parents of 10 children. Elizabeth had immigrated to Queensland about 1873.

On the death certificate it showed that she had five living children:

Mary Ann, 46 yrs old (est birth year 1869)
