Funeral services for James D. Ashfield Jr., 43, of Lake Charles were Thursday, January 15th at 2:00 P.M. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, the Rev. D.R. Davis officiated. The burial followed in the Antioch Cemetery in Slagle, Louisiana.
Mr. Ashfield passed away Wednesday, January 7th in his residence in Lake Charles.
James worked for the U.S. Department of Interior Fish & Wildlife Service as a Refuge Officer. He loved to fish and hunt. He was an avid firearm collector and loved his guns. Mr. Ashfield prided himself in being a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
He is preceded in death by his mom Karolyne Ashfield.
