Allen David Wise is the father of Lillian (married Clyde Young) who is the father of my late husband, Phil.
It was great to see the death certificate although I think there is an error on it. Listed as his father is W. C. Wise. Allen's father is George Calhoun Wise; he had a step-brother William Thomas Wise and his son was William C. Wise (who is probably the person notifying of the death). His step mother is Elizabeth (Coogle); his mother is Rodella Etheredge who died when Allen was about 2.
By 1920 both William and Lillian, Allen's children, were on their own, and on Allen's WWI record he lists W. C. Wise as his contact. So I assume the two children were with their mother Hattie Cobb from 1910-1920 and I do not know anything more about Hattie.
I was also pleased to find the record on William C. & his wife Nettie to add more to my ancestry tree.
