Elaine C. Downing was swept into the arms of her Almighty Savior on March 2, 2001 at the age of 59. She was born in Libertyville, Illinois on September 15, 1941. She passed away at her home in Spring, Texas surrounded by her loving family, Michael L. Downing, Deborah E. Downing of Dillion, Colorado and Suanne M. Roth of Houston. She is survived by her husband, two daughters and her blessed grandchildren: Angela M. Downing-Carr of Dillion, Colorado and Tieler J. Downing of Houston, her mother Margaret M. Paddock of Wauconda, IL., three brothers: Roger Paddock of Hampshire, IL., Kenneth Paddock of Woodstock, IL and Vernon Paddock of Gurnee, IL., along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ronald M. Paddock.
She was employed by Bank One, The Woodlands for 18 years and served as the First President of the Ladies Golf Association at the Willow Creek Golf Club. The family would like to thank Dr. Frank Fossella of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and the Houston Hospice for their kind and thoughtful care during her two year battle with lung cancer.
A celebration of life Mass was offered at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Spring, TX. Father Gietl, Pastor, will celebrate the Mass with interment immediately following at Klein Memorial Park on FM 2920. Memorials may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center or The Houston Hospice. May Elaine rest in peace.
