Mr. Burk was born in Bedford county on March 29, 1859, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Burk, and he was united in marriage with Mary J. Mauk in Bedford county. Later they occupied a farm in Maple Hollow for a number of years.
Surviving are his wife and these children: Roy and Earl Burk of Duncansville, Herbert and Charles Burk and Mrs. Grover Williams of Altoona. Two sisters Mrs. Susie Emeigh of Queen and Mrs. Jennie Lear of Hollidaysburg; one brother, William Burk of Duncansville; fourteen grandchildren and one greatgrandchild also survive.
The body has been brought to the home of his son, Roy Burk, at 1141 Fourth avenue, Duncansville. Interment will be made In the Carson Valley cemetery at a time to be announced later.

Fourth Avenue, where funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon by Rev. L. D. Ott, pastor of Hicks Memorial Methodist church, following which intermnet was made in Carson Valley Cemetery.
