Mrs Barr, 84, of Valley View Home, died at 6:26 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 1992, at the home, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Barr had been employed as a foster grandparent at Cresson State Hospital and Altoona Center.
She was born Nov. 26, 1907, in Roaring Spring, the daughter of Edward M. and Marie (Myers) Gates. She married Edgar Barr on May 29, 1946. He died Feb. 26, 1972.
Surviving are a niece and two nephews; Jane Detwiler of East Freedon, Jack Eckman of Roaring Spring and Drew Eckman of Reservoir.
Services for Geraldine G. Barr will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Carson Valley Cemetery Chapel, by Rev. Morton P. Talbot. Interment at the cemetry. Arrangements by Carn-Lynch Funeral Home, Broad Avenue.
