To whom it may concern; Chase, Michigan July 3, 1943; I was born near Niagara Falls, Ontario, October 19, 1855. In September 1875 I went to Cleveland, Ohio to study medicine, in the Cleveland Homocapathic Hospital College and stayed there till February 16, 1878. Graduated on that day and in addition to my diploma I was awarded the gold medal of my class over 97 class mates. After that I lived in various places; Brockport New York, Flint Michigan, Clio Michigan.On March 17, 1881 I was married to Estella Mary Consaul at Flint Michigan. I came to Chase in 1880, and have resided here ever since. The children born to me by my first marriage were; Mable Vivian Field, George Gilbert Field, Estella Louise Field and Harold Everett Field. Mable Vivian Field has three children; Plato Milton Lacy, and Volney Field Lacy, both living in Honolulu, Hawaii and are having good positions in Government Service. Mable’s daughter Estella is married to State Senator Maurice P. Coakley of Beloit Wisconsin, who is now a Major in the Army.George Gilbert Field resides in Denver, Colorado and is a Druggist.Estella Louise Field is married to a prosperous lawyer in Duluth Minnesota. Her son is n the government service in St. Paul, Minnesota, and her daughter is married and living in California, both her and her husband are serving in government work.My fourth child Harold Everett Field, is now living in Royal Oak Michigan, and is one of Henry Ford’s foremen in government service. He has two sons and one daughter and son-in-law all working in government service, and another son-in-law when last heard from was with the army in England.I have lived in Chase 50 years, during that time have been a remarkable successful physician, and have served the Pere Marquett Rail Road as surgeon for 63 years, have been health officer for 20 or 30 years, have been county physician for 25 or more, and have served on the United States Pension examining board 20 or more years. During the World War number one I was trusted by the United States Government with many commissions of private nature.I am 83 years old and during World War number one I was offered a base hospital which carries with it the title of Major. During the present war the government sent me a question and I answered, that owing to my age I was not able to except any government position, although willing. I am a member of the Michigan State Homocopathic Medical Society. I am also a member of the American Association of Railway Surgeons. Respectful, Dr. G. T. 88, who died in Chase City, Mich
was brought her for internment
yesterday. The funeral was held at
the Blake P. Heatherington Chapel,
Victoria Avenue, to Fairview ceme-
tery. Dr. Field, who was a well-
known medical practitioner, was
born in Smithville, Ontario. He has
resided in the United States for the
past 50 years. He spent several
weeks here last summer and pur-
chased a home on River Road, where
he intended to reside.
