Margaret Leann Yeip
St. Clair - Margaret Leann Yeip, age 88, of ST. Clair, died October 22, 2007. She was born November 9, 1918 in St. Mary's, Ohio to Carl and Bernice Simons. On December 26, 1936, Margaret married Howard M. Yeip in ST. Clair, he preceded her in death December 27, 1972.
She was owner/operator of Leann's Toyland and Gifts in St. Clair, a dairy and sheep farmer, and a school bus driver for East China School District.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Julie and Jim Schick of Columbus Twp. and Bonnie Stevens of Fort Gratiot; son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Denise Yeip of North Ogden, Utah; daughter-in-law, Leah Yeip of Indiana; special niece, Joyce (Endres) Joe Figa of Clarkston; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, son, Mike Yeip; son-in-law, John Stevens; brothers, Tom, Bob and David Simons; and sister, Sally Monschau.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home and Thursday 10:30 to 11:00 at the church prior to the service.
A Rosary will be said Wednesday at 7:00 P.M.
