George L Akins was the beloved husband of Harriet Rebecca and son of Elisha Archie and Laura McDuffie Akins. His brother Elisha Clay 1877-1895 died at a young age. After his mother, Laura, died Archie, George's dad, married Julia Jane Sego. a next door neighbor and George was blessed with more siblings. They were Susie, Elizabeth, John, Mary Frances, Marcus, Kate and Thomas.
