The birth of Oscar Aloysius Heron on 17th September 1896, at Bondbrook, Armagh, was registered on 26th September 1896, by Mary Lennon, of Bondbrook, the mid-wife who attended on his mother.
His parents were recorded as
Charles Heron of Bondbrook, Armagh, a National School Teacher, and Annie Heron née McKenna, of Bondbrook, Armagh.

They were married at St. Peter's Church, Phibsborough, Dublin, on 17 September 1895. Charles Heron, was aged 24, a Teacher, of Tullysarron, Co. Armagh, son of Michael Heron, a Farmer.
Annie McKenna, was aged 25, a Teacher, from Bondbrook, Armagh City, daughter of Jeremiah McKenna, Deputy Governor of Mountjoy Prison.


The death of Oscar Heron of Baldonnell Aerodrome, a Captain in the Army Air Corps, married, took place at St. Bricin's Hospital, Dublin, on 5th August 1933. The death was registered on 18th August 1933.
The cause of death was,
"Laceration of the Brain and Spinal Chord, following injuries received whilst flying".
The Coroner for the City of Dublin held an inquest on 10th August 1933, at which the above verdict was returned.
His colleague, Private Richard Tobin, an Air-Gunner, who was with him when the accident occurred, died on 6th August 1933.
