Clara Harris Whitman, 75, died Monday, January 3, 2011. Born in Asheville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Thedford Harris and Mary Elizabeth Hare Harris.
Mrs. Whitman was a member of Myers Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Builders Class. An avid Tar Heel fan, Mrs. Whitman retired from Watson Insurance after 43 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Robert Lee Whitman; sisters, Aileen, Malita, Ruth and Edith.
