-- GASTONIA - Mr. Joseph Clarence Price, 96, of 211 Oakdale Ave. died Dec. 15, 1989, at home. Funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel at Ward Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Winecoff officiating. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park. Visitation is 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Price, a retired textile worker, was born in Cleveland County, son of the late Jacob and Maggie Wilson Price. He was a member of East Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Bridges Price; sons, J.C. Price Jr. of Richmond, Marshall Price of Winston-Salem, Newell Price of Greensboro, Lewis Price of High Point; daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Beattie of Belmont, Mrs. Dora Seay of Charlotte, Mrs. Libby Purcell of Statesville; sisters, Mrs. Mildred Hipps of Sarasota, Fla., Mrs. Mabel Craig; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
