Mrs. Abbie Hall's Funeral Set Friday

Mrs. Abbie Hall, 76, of Smyrna, Rte 4, died at her home Wednesday. Although she had been in declining health for a year, her death came following an attack suffered a short time earlier.

Mrs. Hall was born in Floyd County June 22, 1885, daughter of the late Joe and Leila Gaddis Davis and had resided here until 11 years ago when she moved to Smyrna. She had been a member of Pisgah Baptist Church for 60 years. Her husband Dennis Franklin Hall died Nov 9 1936.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. W. W. Walters, Smyrna, Mrs. Luther LeCroy and Mrs. Mont Millican, both of Summerville and Mrs. J.D. Trapp of Lafayette: four sons, Davis, Harvey, Sam and Waldo Hall all of Rome, two sisters, Mrs. Lon Hall, Cedartown and Mrs. Joy Moon of Rome; four brothers, Henry Davis, Washington, D.C. Joe Davis, New Mexico, J.M. & John Davis of Rome. Twenty-two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Salem Methodist Church with the Rev W.F. Conn and the Rev. Robert N. Padgett officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.

The body will be carried to the residence of the son Davis Hall, 1 Auburn Lane, to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers include Leon Hall, Grady Cochran, Benny Benton, Tommy Padgett, Edward Meadows and Colquitt Hall.
Jennings Funeral Home has charge arrangements.

Abbie F. Davis was a sister to Mary Ethel Davis who married Truman Alonzo Hall. Two sisters married first cousins
