Andy Andrew Adkins
Services for Mr. Andy Andrew Adkins, 75, of Beaver will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel with the Rev. Ernest Barley officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Mr. Adkins died Wednesday in a Beckley hospital after a long illness.
Born May 27, 1904 at Freezeland, he was a son of the late Samuel Adkins and Mary Ann Adkins.
Mr. Adkins was a member of the Pathway Baptist Chapel in Cleveland, Ohio and a retired coal miner.
He was preceded in death by one son, Robert.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Ellen of MacArthur, one son, Andy Adkins, Jr., of Cleveland, three stepsons, Michael, Randy, and Ronald Withrow, all of Grandview, five daughters, Mrs. Marie Bragg, Mrs. Thelma Goforth, and Wilma Patrick, all of Cleveland, Emma Frances Bragg of Akron, Ohio, and Retha Redden of Charmco, four step-daughters, Virginia Allinson of Greenville, Mrs. Brenda Stiner of Barberton, Mrs. Carla Lilly of Beaver, and Mrs. Harelene Wheeler of Beckley, one brother, Burk of Hampton, Va., one half brother, Cleopas of Charmco, four half sisters, Eunice Bryant of Rainelle, Maybell Stacy of Coolridge, Mary Bryant and Ida Bryant, both of Charmco, 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
