Allen Funeral Set At 2 p.m. Thursday
Final rites for Ervin Walter Allen, 54, of Raleigh,
will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Raleigh Com-
munity Church with the Rev. Clyde Meador officia-
ting.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Allen died at his residence at 5:15 yesterday.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE: his wife, Grace
Shirkey Allen; five sons, Archie, Vernon, Clevie,
Jimmie and Carol Allen, all of Raleigh; two dau-
ghters, Mrs. Marie Conner, of Crow, and Relda Mae
Allen, at home, and three grandchildren.
The body will be removed from the Calfee Fu-
neral Home to the Raleigh residence of his son,
Archie, at 4 p.m. today.
Active pallbearers will include: William Under-
wood, Ernest Calfee, Cecil Shirkey, Arthur Poore,
George Calloway, and John Allen.
