Maurine was the daughter of James Otis Barry and Anna Sarah Narup.

Maurine was the mother of twin boys. She was a homemaker and worked as the head clerk at Roth's Grocery in Hardin, Calhoun County, Illinois for a number of years.

She was a member of St. Norbert's Catholic Church in Hardin.

At the time of her death at Memorial Medical Center, Maurine was 91 years, 5 months and 12 days old.

She was survived by twin sons and their wives, Melvin and Marlene Barry of Jerseyville, Illinois, and Marvin and Norma Barry of Orangeville, California; 6 grandchildren; 1 step-granddaughter; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; 1 brother, Aloys "Buck" Barry of Hardin; and 1 sister, Genevieve Rogers of Springfield, Illinois.

In addition to her mother and father, Maurine was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bob, Bill and James Barry; and 2 sisters, Leola Gibbs and Dorothy Baumann.

Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until the beginning of 11 a.m. funeral services on 25 Mar 2002 at Hanks-Gubser Funeral Home in Hardin.

The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to the church or to St. Norbert's Catholic School.

Children: 2 sons.
