The daughter of Ephraim W. Bailey and Penolia V. Black, Millie married Philip C. Aderton about 1923. Her husband, born on 14 Dec 1889, was the son of George L. Aderton and Pauline Cabana. Philip served in the United States Army during World War I and was a corporal when he was discharged.

The couple lived in Hardin, Calhoun County, Illinois. They were the parents of 2 children.

Philip was the president and board chairman of the Bank of Calhoun. He was employed by the bank for 50 years.

Millie was a charter member of the Hardin Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary in Hardin. She also belonged to the Royal Neighbors Lodge.

Millie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was active in the Woman's Missionary Society and Bible class at the church.

Following a brief illness, Millie died at Jersey Community Hospital from an apparent heart condition. She had been hospitalized for 1 week.

At the time of her death, Millie was 70 years, 9 months and 24 days old. She was survived by her husband, Philip; 1 daughter, Jean of Springfield, Illinois; and 1 son, George of Mt. Morris, Illinois.

Visitation was held at the C. C. Hanks Funeral Home in Hardin. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on 17 Nov 1959 at the First Presbyterian Church.

Philip later remarried and passed away on 23 Aug 1985 at the age of 95.
