---Frank K. Baity, fifty-one, former resident of La Plata, died at his home in Prescott, Arizona Saturday, September 20. Mr. Baity had been hospitalized for two years and had been removed to his home prior to his death.
---The son of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Baity of La Plata, he was born in the Illinois Bend community, in Adair County, June 14, 1896.
---He was married to Mildred Watson in 1916 and three children were born to them.
---He is survived by his wife, two sons, Frank Jr. of Mesa, Arizona, Robert W. of Gardner, Kansas, and one daughter, Miss Anna Baity of Des Moines, Iowa. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Baity of La Plata and one brother, Clarence Baity of Chickasha, Oklahoma, also survive.
---He graduated from the La Plata High School and attended the Kirksville State Normal School.
---Mr. Baity was a former resident of Kirksville and served as Chief of the fire department a number of years ago. He lived in Junction City, Kansas for fourteen years. The past year he has made his home at Prescott, Arizona.
---Funeral services will be held the last of the week at the Christian Church with Rev. Fred Hudson officiating.
