---Mrs. Ann E. Barnhart, aged ninety-one, the oldest woman of La Plata, died at the home of her son, George Barnhart, here Sunday morning after an illness of several months.
---Funeral services were held at the Barnhart home Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Shoemaker of the Christian Church. Interment was made in the La Plata Cemetery.
---Ann Elizabeth Lowery was born January 13, 1838 in Guernsey County, near Wheeling, Ohio. She was the eldest of seven children and came with her parents to Missouri when seventeen years of age.
---At an early age she was married to Jefferson Campbell and to this union three children were born. In March, 1866, a few years after the death of her husband, she was married to Edmond Barnhart who died September 11, 1891. To this union five children were born.
---She leaves to mourn her loss, three children, Mrs. George Lowery, of Kent, Washington, Mrs. W.H. Johnson and George Barnhart of this city, two grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
