From US Civil War Soldiers, 1861-1865, George served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 1st Regiment, New York Light Artillery.
George's mother was Hulda (Warren) Eggleston, 1808-1838.
There is a marker foundation located between the markers for George and his daughter, Elbertine. The marker was missing as long ago as 1988, when this section of the cemetery was read, and only the foundation was found. In all probability, this marker is for a member of the Eggleston family, but this is not presently known. If you have information about this marker, please contact the manager of this memorial. Thank you!
