THOMAS B. PUCKETT
Thomas Bird Puckett, 92, 1207 South 11th Street, died yesterday at 11:15 p.m., following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at collier-Butler Chapel with the Rev. Charles E. Brooks officiating.
Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be George Sizemore, E.M. Pledger, A.E. McLester, C.A. McWhorter, Chester Hicks and the Rev. Paul Owens.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Etowah County Board of Revenue and A. J. Stoner, Morris Ford, Sam Lasseter, Roy Dodge, Dr. W.E. Frantz, J. C. Inzer, Dr. M. Rowe, John F. Morgan and Howard Kirby.
He is survived by three sons, S.C. Puckett, Gadsden, J.M. and H.T. Puckett, of Birmingham; three daughters, Mrs. J.T. League and Miss Willie Puckett of Gadsden and Mrs. B.E. Edwards, Birmingham; a brother, Jack Puckett, Caldwell; a sister, Mrs. Jolley McClendon, Caldwell; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Puckett was a retired road supervisor of Etowah County. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
The body is to remain at Collier-Butler Chapel through the hour of service.
