Margaret "Sophie" Wilson Parker, 90, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 28, 2012.
She was a life-long resident of Apison, TN, and a member of Apison United Methodist Church.
She has lived with her daughter in Ringgold, Ga. for the past five years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Wilson and Cora Brock Wilson; husband Albert Guy Parker Sr.; sons, Albert G. Parker Jr., Donald L. Parker; daughter, Glenda Correll; brothers, Willard, Kenneth, Herman, Robert Wilson; and sister, Betty Leach.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Roberson and son-in-law, Willie Roberson of Ringgold, GA; grandsons, Michael (Kathy) Roberson, of Ringgold, GA, Brandon Roberson, of Apison, TN and Matthew (Wendy) Parker, of Harrison; granddaughter, Sabrina Correll Walker, of Ringgold, GA and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012, at Apison United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Todd Chancy and the Rev. Debbie Stokes officiating.
Internment will follow at Plowman Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Apison United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy-Daisy, TN.
