Lena Marie was the oldest child of Cortez and Henrietta "Nettie" (Haberstein) Lang. She grew up in Litchfield, Nebraska. Her father worked in the hardware business during most of her childhood and the family had a farm. She had three brothers and one sister. Lena married Mervin Merlin Halbeisen and they were blessed with five children. Mervin passed away May 27, 1945. Lena married Edwin Keith Dennison who also preceded her in death. Lena is buried in Litchfield Cemetery, Litchfield, Nebraska, beside her first husband.
