Funeral services for Neil L. Keisler, 57, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, in the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 310 E. Main St., East Dundee. The Rev. William P. Yonker, senior pastor, will officiate. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today, in the Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday, in the church.
Born Sep. 30, 1948, in Elgin, he died Thursday, Jun. 8, 2006, at the St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates following an extended illness. Neil was a lifelong resident of the area and farmed in partnership with his father in Barrington Hills until 2000. He was a lifelong member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Dundee.
He is survived by his parents, LaVerne and Alice (nee Rudsinski) Keisler of Elgin; his children, Beverly (Robert) Hartig of McCordsville, Ind., Mark (Paula) Keisler of Chandler, Ariz. and Clare (Quin Leonard) Keisler of Marengo; his grandchildren, Kathryn and Ryan Hartig, and William and Natasha Keisler; and his sisters, Audrey (Paul) Luscher of Half Moon Bay, Calif. and Gail (Terry) Nelson of Kalamazoo, Mich. He is also survived by a niece, several nephews, and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Meredith.
