    George Lawrence Heffron
George Lawrence Heffron, 82, a resident of Streamwood since 1958, passed away Monday, October 18, 2000 at St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
    He was born January 24, 1918 to the late Patrick and Catherine Heffron. He was a WW II Army veteran, serving as a supply sergeant from 1943-1946, earning the Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal. A founding member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Streamwood, he served as an usher and C.C.D. teacher. He was a former Pack Master of Cub Scout Pack 50, Streamwood and a member of the American Legion Post 57, Elgin.
    Survivors include his beloved wife, Florence (nee Wolak); loving children: Joann, Larry (Connie), Christine (Paul), Richard (Jackie), Tim (Gina), and Kevin (Laurie); dear grandchildren: Dawne (Richard), Tony, Staci, Victoria, Kristin, Rob, Angela, Karin, Kortney, Jessica, Lauren, Katherine, Anthony, Patrick, and Veronica; great-grandchildren: Emily and Abigail.
    Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy, Steven and Patrick, his sisters, Kathleen, Nora and Marian, and a daughter, Kate.
    Funeral services will be Friday, October 20, 2000 at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, Streamwood. Fr. Fred Pesek officiating. Burial at River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee, IL.
