John Griscott, 70, a retired construction laborer of North Main Street, Maryville, died at 1:10 a.m. today at the Madison County Nursing Home. Mr. Griscott was born Nov. 3, 1901 in Glen Carbon, and lived there for many years before moving to Maryville. His parents were William and Agnes Oxtine Griscott.
Mr. Griscott, who never married, is survived by a sister, Mrs. Marcella Hinnen of Edwardsville, a brother, Charles Griscott of Maryville, and by nieces and nephews. Three sisters preceded him in death.
Burial in Glen Carbon Cemetery.
