Mr. Biggs was born in Newton Co. Mississippi, but resided in Rainbow City most of his life. He was a retired engineer for Revere Cooper and served in the United States Army as an anti-tank personal mines pioneer and was honorably discharged because of an injury. He loved the outdoors, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Biggs; son, Jerry Lemley; sisters, Bessie Willis, Essie Baucum and Susie Waldrop; and brother, Arvil Biggs. He is survived by his grandchildren, Lt. Col. Jimmy (Denise) Warren, Cindy Hughes, Gina (Scott) Tarver and Mandy Lemley; great-grandchildren, Devan Nabors, Logan Mills, Erin George, Jake Warren, Cole Warren, Kelsey Tarver and Bailey Lewis; brothers, James Biggs and Calvin Biggs; daughter-in-law, Lynda Lemley Ryals; sister-in-law, Bettye Littleton; and many nieces and nephews.
