"Mrs. Anne Elizabeth Burress, daughter of the late Mr. William David Bridgewater and Mrs. Tippie Sanders Gill Bridgewater, was born 23 Feb 1905 in Green Co. and departed this life at 9:15 pm Tues. 10 Feb 1981 at the Corry Hospital in Corry, Pa. She was 75 years, 11 months and 1 7 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Mr. Lawrence A. Burress 24 Dec 1929 and he preceded her in death 26 Feb 1976. To this union was born 1 son, Durward Burress, Corry, Pa. Mrs. Burress is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Linda Sue Daoust, Va; Barbara Wade, Houston, Texas; David Allen Burress, Hawaii; Kim Heckler and Robert Heckler; Matthew and Randy Burress all of Pa; 3 great-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 10 am Sat. 14 Feb 1981 with burial in the Bethlehem Cem. Rev. James Evans officiated. Pallbearers were: Everett Morris, Harvey Burress, George O. Burress, Henry Kessler, L.C. Taylor and Todd Burress."
