OBITUARIES
CHARLES J. HOPPLE
Charles J. HOPPLE, 67, of McVeytown, R.D.2, died in the Cresson Sanatorium, Cresson, at 4:50 p.m. on Sunday March 11, 1956, after a lengthy illness.
Mr. HOPPLE was born on Dec. 6, 1888, near Lockport, Mifflin County. He was a son of the late John and Fiona POTTS HOPPLE. His wife, the former Florence AULTZ, died last year.
He is survived by five children, Charles HOPPLE, Jr. Mrs. Eugene (Bertha) SHEAFFER, Harry HOPPLE, Earl HOPPPLE and Mrs. Carol (Dolly) DONAHEY, all of McVeytown, R.D.2.
Nineteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred HOPPLE, 300 (?) Bratton Ave., and Carl HOPPLE of Lewistown, R.D. 1, and a sister, Mrs. Annie GOSSELMAN (?) of Lewistown, R.D.1 are living.
He was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Glass Sand Company of Mapleton. He retired about two years ago.
Funeral services will be held in the Booth funeral home at McVeytown on Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Bruno GROVE. Interment will be made in the Mattawana Cemetery.
Friends by call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 Tuesday Evening.
