1. TN: Fentress; 7 May 1866; Application for Widow's Pension: Mrs. Zilpha Beaty states that she is the widow of John G. Beaty deceased, who was a private in Company D commanded by Capt. Dotson in the 2nd Regiment of East Tennessee Infantry Vol commanded by Col. Carter. (John) on or about the 17 Feb 1862 in Laurel Co., KY from measles incurred in the service aforesaid and whilst in the line of his duty.
Lists: 1. James G. Beaty-26 Aug 1856, 2. Margaret C. Beaty 28 Apr 1858, 3. Isaac S. Beaty 20 Jun 1859, and 4. Malinds J Beaty 3 Mar 1861 all living and all being the lawful issue of said John G. Beaty, dec'd.
