Evelyn Trent Bachmann, 95, longtime Tulsan, passed away quietly in her sleep on January 10, 2014, in Olathe Kansas, where she resided in an assisted living center for the past five years. She was born in Redfield, Iowa on November 14, 1918, the only daughter of Clarence and Grace Trent and sister to five brothers, *

Evelyn Bachmann was a long time member of Tulsa’s legendary Tuesday Writers. In 1965 and 1968 she published two children’s novels with Viking Press, Tressa and Black-Eyed Susan. She was also a fine poet. A family graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 14th, at Floral Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
