Robert Dix Rea, 21, of Underwood, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 19, 1988, the son of Thomas M. and Cathy Dix Rea. He was a senior biomedical engineering student at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, where he was chairman of the alumni committee and a founding member of the Vigo County Young Republicans Club. He was a member of Lick Branch Baptist Church in Deputy.
He is survived by his mother and step father, Cathy and Matt Sipe of Underwood; his father, Thomas M. Rea of Deputy; two sisters, Alison Rea of Deputy and Rachel Rea of Underwood; one brother, Gerald Rea of Scottsburg; and his grandparents, Danny and Janice Sipe of Lexington.
The funeral was at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg. Burial was in Scottsburg Cemetery.
