Ralph Edward Badger, 79, of Georgetown Road, died at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at Cooney Convalescent Center in Helena, Mont.

Mr. Badger retired from Edinburgh schools, was a minister with an evangelistic association and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps at a camp in Wyoming.

He formerly lived in Indianapolis, Chicago and Brown County before he retired and moved to Bartholomew County in 1998.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cathedral of Praise Church of God with the Rev. Bob Vance officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Vernon Jewell–Nick Rittman Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Greenfield.

Mr. Badger was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Indianapolis, the son of Theodore Leslie and Pearl Ellen Kirkpatrick Badger. He married Edna Mae Warren on Nov. 9, 1947. She died Nov. 17, 2001.

Survivors include sons, Ralph Edward Badger of Clancy, Mont.; daughters, Patricia Ammons of Taylorsville, Ky., Joyce Hawkins of Campbellsburg, Nan Kimmons of Fayetteville, N.C., and Delores Kelly of Orlando, Fla.; brothers Lester Badger of Fort Worth, Texas, and James Badger of Nashville; seven grandchildren; and four great–grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ellen Senetsky.
