Dolores Ylincheta Terry passed away peacefully at the Uintah Care Center in Vernal on June 4, 2008 after a lengthy illness. She was the second of four children born to John and Aniceta Ylincheta in Salt Lake City on June 30, 1923. In 1925, the Ylincheta family moved to Manila. Dolores attended school in Manila and graduated from high school in Ogden in 1941.

Dolores married Heber Jex Terry on Dec. 19, 1941 in McKinnon, Wyo. She became a member of the LDS church and was sealed to Jex in the Salt Lake Temple in 1959. Together they raised three sons, John Charles "Jack," Randal James "Randy," and Dennis Jex "D.J."

Dolores will be remembered for her heart laugh, rose gardens, homemade crescent rolls, and her pride in her Basque heritage. She was a hard-working, ambitious lady who retired from First Security Bank in 1985 after years of service. Her main interest in life was her family and second to that she enjoyed snowmobiling, water skiing, hunting camps, knitting and crocheting.

Dolores is survived by husband, Jex Terry; two sons, Jack (Shirley) Terry and D.J. Terry; brother, Art (Jill) Ylincheta; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, John and Ani Ylincheta; brother, John Ylincheta; sister, Blanche Von Gyurscy; and brother-in-law, Alex Von Gyurscy; son, Randy Terry; great-granddaughter, KayCee Herbert, and great-grandson, Lane Ward.

Funeral Services were Monday, June 9, at the LDS Glines 1st and 5th Ward LDS Chapel in Vernal at 11 a.m. Viewing was on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and at the chapel one hour prior to services. Interment was at the McKinnon Cemetery in McKinnon, Wyo., at 3 p.m. under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
