Carole A. Bennett age 75 of New Lisbon died on Sunday Nov. 11, 2012, at Fairview Nursing Home in Mauston. Carole was born on November 25, 1936 to Melvin W. and Helen L.(Dubois) Cox in Carterville, IL. She was raised in southern Illinois and later moved to Rockford IL. Carole graduated from Carbondale High School in 1954. Carole was united in marriage to Clifford Bennett on May 15, 1960 in Las Vegas, NV. They later moved to Long Beach California, and then to Arkdale, and later Delwood Wisconsin, and settled in New Lisbon in 1968. Carole enjoyed reading; going to the casino, scratch off tickets, watching Sponge Bob with her grandson, along with watching dogs and birds.
...She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Clifford in 2003.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday Nov. 15, 2012 at 11:00am at St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (208 Allen Rd, New Lisbon, WI), with Rev Joel Free presiding. Relatives and friends may call at the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon on Wednesday from 5:00pm till 8:00pm, and at the church on Thursday from 10:00am till the time of service. Burial will be in the New Lisbon City Cemetery. The Hare Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
